Your Mindset: What Makes You Sick or Heals You

We live in a world obsessed with doing—tracking macros, buying the latest supplements, following the next cutting-edge protocol. And while there’s value in nourishing foods, movement, and biohacking tools, there’s a deeper truth that often gets ignored: Your health is not just a reflection of what you do, but of who you are—every single day.

Your body is constantly responding to your inner world. Your thoughts, your beliefs, the way you speak to yourself, the energy you carry, the boundaries you honor (or don’t)—these are not just soft factors. They are the blueprint. They are the soil in which either illness or healing takes root.

Every day, you make a choice, whether consciously or not: Will you be your own medicine, or your own poison? Medicine looks like…

  • Speaking to yourself with compassion
  • Allowing space for your emotions instead of stuffing them down
  • Choosing rest without guilt
  • Saying no when your body says no
  • Letting yourself be enough right now—not 10 pounds from now, not symptom-free, not when everything’s finally “fixed”

Poison looks like…

  • Living in a constant state of self-judgment and stress
  • Pushing through when your body is begging for rest
  • Ignoring your needs to meet everyone else’s
  • Believing healing is something outside of you to chase, buy, or earn

Healing is not about pretending things aren’t hard. It’s about turning toward what hurts with courage and curiosity, so you can move through it. It’s about changing your state, not just your routine.

Because here’s the truth: You are either creating an internal environment that nurtures safety, regulation, and vitality—or one that sustains stress, shutdown, and inflammation.

Don’t underestimate the power of the state you live in.

You are the soil. You are the medicine. You are the choice.

So, ask yourself today: What are you choosing to be? Your own poison… or your own healing?
