Where our focus goes, our energy flows. This means that what we choose to think about and focus on creates our state of being, which in turn affects our energy. Our bodies reflect this state of being.
Many people, particularly women I work with, often come to me complaining that despite eating the cleanest diets, exercising regularly, meditating, walking daily, using a sauna, and so on, they still experience chronic health issues.
This is the point where we need to step back and examine what truly creates our health – our state of being, which is comprised of our thoughts and emotions. When we begin to explore this avenue, they often reveal that they worry a lot, experience high levels of stress, frequently catastrophize, and their minds tend to gravitate towards worst-case scenarios.
What I usually explain to them is that their thoughts are directly linked to the health of their nervous system. So, it’s not JUST about changing their thoughts; it’s also about healing their physiology (which naturally helps change thoughts). However, if a significant portion of their day is spent focusing on, stressing out, and worrying about worst-case scenarios, it would greatly benefit them to spend at least 10 minutes a day practicing gratitude and envisioning the best-case scenario, imagining how it would feel if that were to happen. When you flood your body with a chemical cocktail of positivity, it absolutely shifts your physiology and aids in healing the nervous system, which in turn improves our thinking.
Your brain and body do not know the difference between a thought or the event actually happening. Read that again! Basically, our brain believes our thoughts and interprets them as instructions. Our thoughts are so powerful!
The quickest way to shift your health is to shift your energy! I have seen people do this work, and literally within hours or a couple of days, heal severe chronic health issues they’ve grappled with for years! It happens often, most just don’t believe in the power of the mind!
