Why it may be time to reevaluate some of your relationships

Here is some relationship advice that changed my life for the better.

Don’t pour into cups that don’t pour into yours!

Feeling drained, depleted, and frustrated with the relationships in our lives is all too common.

Many clients come to me with a desire to improve their health. They’re evaluating and exploring every aspect of their life: diet, exercise routine, and sleep, to name a few. Often, they fail to consider the massive energetic toll that toxic and draining relationships have on their physical and mental health.

Many of us pour our hearts and souls into empty relationships that do not “pour back.” Many of us are constantly GIVING and are either in relationships where there is nothing for us to receive OR we don’t know HOW to receive because all we’ve ever done is give!

Either way, we are left feeling empty and depleted.

Here’s my advice:

Do not pour your heart and soul into relationships that do not make you feel alive! Do not invest your time and energy into relationships that are one-sided. Do not use your precious energy to nurture dysfunctional relationships. Know when to pull back and reclaim your energy. Know when to set boundaries and walk away from relationships that are not serving you.

You deserve to be poured into! By walking away from empty relationships, you are saying “yes” to yourself. When you start to honor and value yourself, you attract relationships in your life that add to your life rather than take from it.

You deserve a good friend! BUT first, you must be a good friend to yourself and know when to pull back, reevaluate, and move forward with the intention to cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

You deserve to feel energized and fulfilled! I promise you, this is some of the best work you’ll do!

You are so worth it.
