The mind cannot be separated from the body, nor can we dismiss how the mind and body affect each other.
Thoughts and emotions are a direct reflection of the nervous system health. Physical stress causes psychological stress such as overthinking, worry, worst-case-scenario thinking, catastrophizing, and more negativity. Our physiology has a huge impact on our psychology.
Thoughts, feelings, and emotions impact overall health. Together, these factors create the energy or frequency we are in; our energy either causes “ease” or “dis-ease” within the mind and body.
Many people believe that to have higher quality, more “positive” thoughts, feelings, and emotions, they must change the way they think. This approach can be extremely difficult because our thoughts, feelings, and emotions are a reflection of our nervous system. When stressed, the nervous system tends to be more “negative” or “overthink.” When calm, the nervous system creates more “positive” thoughts.
Instead of trying to be more “positive,” work on calming and regulating the nervous system. Watch how altering your physiology (what’s happening in your body) and your psychology (what’s happening in your brain) changes for the better.
This is a bottom-up approach and MUCH more effective in improving mindset! Regulating the nervous system is THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR MENTAL and PHYSICAL HEALTH.
Remember THINKERS typically don’t allow themselves to “feel.” In fact, if you are thinking, you are not feeling. This concept is critical when healing from chronic health issues. We work on this in great detail in my 30 day health optimizing program; NEW YOU.
