Healthy Relationships: Why Surrounding Yourself with Like-Minded People Is Critical

Here’s one of my top health tips:

Surround yourself with people who value their health. Not only will you grow and learn more, but you’ll feel supported in your lifestyle decisions, too. This is important! 
 
Many of my clients express how difficult it is to be healthy when their spouse, kids, friends, or extended family doesn’t value their own health. 
 
Please, don’t let this be the reason you don’t value your health! Don’t let this remove the wind from your sails! Live by example; I promise your loved ones are watching!  
 
Find your tribe. Surround yourself with healthy and like-minded people. Look for next level-humans – people who want the best for themselves and for you. Making changes can feel lonely when those around you aren’t coming along on the journey.  
 
But you must go anyway! 
 
Find mentors who take good care of their bodies. Surround yourself with people you admire, people who inspire you. Spend more time with those people. 
 
Ben Greenfield is one of the most influential people in health and is someone I train with on occasion. He was one of my first mentors and continues to inspire and motivate me to learn more and be better. 

 
If you want to continue to improve your overall health, surround yourself with people who push you to be better! And, even more importantly, be that person in the lives of your friends and family: inspire others to be better!
