The reason I share what I do here is because not only have I lived its truth but also believe it’s the only way YOU will be able to heal. Until you understand this and implement it, you will continue to struggle—just like I did.
Recently, some of you have commented on my posts saying that “healing is not black and white” and that “healing the nervous system is just ‘part’ of the puzzle”. While I used to feel the same way, that exact way of thinking kept me stuck for years and will keep you stuck too.
Like me, many of you with chronic health issues have already made numerous diet changes, worked with holistic practitioners, supplemented, done healing protocols, detoxed parasites, and tried to rid yourselves of toxins and mold—all of which were suggested as the causes of your health issues.
When my healing regimen was the most detailed and dialed in, I was eating a perfectly clean diet, had done more healing protocols than I could count, was filtering everything, avoiding toxins like the plague, and doing everything right— I was the most unwell and symptomatic I’d ever been. It was beyond frustrating to spend so much time and thousands of dollars on healing only to not only not heal but get worse.
This story is familiar to many of you here. You’ve come to my community because you too realize that when your life consists of a long list of foods you must avoid to prevent a flare, a long list of things you must avoid to heal, and an even longer list of things you HAVE to do to avoid a flare or heal, it feels like the walls start to close in. You’ve created a prison of rules and rigidity where FEAR is the primary motivator behind all your “healthy actions,” and it’s also the dominant emotional state you’re in while doing all these “healing” things. Fear, hyper-fixation, and control.
Here’s what you need to know: you can eat the cleanest diet, work with top practitioners, and spend your life doing cutting edge healing protocols and still be unwell. This is because our bodies are not simply a reflection of WHAT we do; they are more a reflection of WHY and HOW we do things—the state we are in WHEN we “heal.” For many, including myself, I was doing all the things to avoid symptoms, in desperation, wanting so badly to heal without realizing that who I was being was causing my nervous system to receive constant signals of danger—“I’m not safe as I am, I must heal to be okay,” which keeps the body stuck in a state of threat psychology and prevents you from healing.
The body doesn’t just reflect WHAT we do; it reflects WHY and HOW we do it. It doesn’t just reflect who we WANT to be (healed and calm); it reflects who we ARE being (fearful and desperate)—someone who isn’t well and trying so hard to heal.
This is why I share what I do here. This is why I will, for the rest of my life, shout from the rooftops that healing the nervous system is #1—it’s the most common missing link and it’s almost always what allows people to heal. Now, I’m not saying that eating healthy isn’t important; it is. But what I am saying is that you cannot ABSORB that healthy diet when stuck in fight or flight, you cannot utilize those expensive supplements when stuck in fight or flight—you cannot heal when stuck in fight or flight. THIS is why so many of you are continuing to suffer. It kept me sick for years, and I don’t want that for you.
Sure, there’s no one thing that will cure you—although I’ve witnessed thousands heal from a long list of health issues JUST by doing this work, not changing anything else, and if anything, letting go of all their rules and rigidity that governed their life and kept them trapped in a state of fear, by focusing on every aspect of their diet, etc.
Healing isn’t black and white, and I’m not saying it is. It’s not an either/or situation, but I am saying that healing the nervous system is always foundational.
Once you understand this, you too can break free from the constant thinking that you have to “heal your gut” to heal, or get rid of all your parasites, SIBO, mold, toxins, or candida, etc. That’s a lie. You don’t. When I test, I still have gut imbalances, bacterial overgrowth, some parasites, bulging discs, muscle imbalances, joint damage, etc., but I have zero symptoms or chronic health issues. WHY? Because I keep my nervous system in a balanced state and know how to avoid what fuels all chronic health issues—fear and focus, which keep the body stuck in a state of hypervigilance and unable to enter a healing state—because of this, I can keep the dial turned down on the nervous system, which controls every sensation, the amount of inflammation, the severity, and intensity of the symptoms we experience.
So, yes, you, like me, can live a life with less nagging symptoms and resolve your chronic health issues when you calm the nervous system, overcome the fear that is governing your life, and remove the root cause of chronic health issues: chronic stress. Until you understand and implement this, you will struggle to heal. That was my story, and I don’t want it to be yours, which is why I will never stop sharing this message of hope and truth.
